Ecological Restructuring of a Slum and Adaptation to Climate Change.

USF (Urban Planners Without Borders) organized an international competition “Ecological Restructuring of a Slum and Adaptation to Climate Change”. 36 countries participated in the process.
Four countries are declared Laureates following the Jury Meeting on January 24th, 2014 and the Conference of the “USF Award for Sustainable Development” on January 25th, 2014 in the Senate, Paris.
These 4 countries are: Armenia, India, Lebanon and Mali.

The USF Special Prize for Sustainable Development is awarded to Armenia.
The project site is located in the district of Kond. The project was presented by the State University of Architecture and Construction of Yerevan.

The 1st USF Prize is awarded to Lebanon.
The project site is located in the district of Sabra El Horch. The project was presented by ALBA (Lebanese Academy of Fine Arts)

The 2nd USF Prize is awarded to Mali.
The project site is located in the district of TSF (Telephone Sans Fil). The project was presented by ESIAU (School of Engineering, Architecture and Urbanism)

The 3rd USF Prize is awarded to India.
The project site is located in the district of Bhalswa (Kalandar Colony). The project was presented by the School of Planning and Architecture New Delhi.

This event was organized with the support of UNESCO and PFVT.
More than 3,000 people worldwide are involved in organizing this unique event.
